A researcher and qualified nurse, she has dual qualifications in health sciences and nursing. She is currently taking a postgraduate master's degree in epidemiology to broaden her expertise and is currently (since 2021) a PhD candidate in the Department of General Medicine and Nursing Science at UMC Utrecht, the Netherlands. Before starting her PhD trajectory, she worked as a researcher at the Department of Elderly care at Amsterdam Medical Center Amsterdam. Her current research focuses on the effectiveness of telemedicine in patients with heart failure, with a focus on subgroup analysis and its effectiveness on hospital admissions, mortality and healthcare costs. She uses data from the Dutch Heart Failure Registry, a newly implemented registry in the Netherlands that is an integral part of this research project.
