Amy Johnston is a PhD candidate in the School of Epidemiology and Public Health, University of Ottawa, and a doctoral trainee at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. She holds a Master of Science with a specialization in Health Services Research and a Master of Biomedical Technology, both from the University of Calgary. She is also professionally Certified in Public Health (National Board of Public Health Examiners). Amy's doctoral research focuses on women’s cardiovascular health, specifically, long term cardiovascular risk associated with a history of high blood pressure disorders of pregnancy.
