Biography
Sofia Helena Vitter is a Medical Doctor with a strong interest in Cardiovascular Surgery, Clinical Cardiology, and Translational Cardiovascular Research. She is currently a Cardiovascular Surgery resident at Hospital de Amor, Brazil, where she is actively involved in the perioperative management of complex cardiac patients and multidisciplinary Heart Team discussions. Since the beginning of her academic career, Dr. Vitter has been engaged in clinical research, with particular interest in congenital heart disease, aortic surgery, valvular heart disease, and outcomes research. She has authored and co-authored scientific publications, systematic reviews, and conference presentations, with ongoing collaborations in national and international research projects. Her research focuses on evidence-based cardiovascular care, surgical outcomes, congenital cardiac surgery, and innovation in cardiac surgery.
