Biography
Dr Eirinaios Tsiartas is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in Cardiology at the University of Cambridge (Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Heart & Lung Research Institute) and an Internal Medicine Trainee at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He completed his medical degree at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, where he received the Faculty of Health Science Excellence Award. He later earned an MSc in Clinical Trials at University College London, with a dissertation on artificial intelligence algorithms for atrial fibrillation detection from sinus rhythm. His current research focuses on intracoronary imaging and computational modelling to study atherosclerotic plaque pathophysiology. In addition, he collaborates with his alma mater in Greece on big data and registry-based cardiovascular outcomes research. He is passionate about advancing precision cardiology through translational research that bridges engineering, interventions, imaging, and clinical science.
