Biography
Dr. Stefania-Teodora Duca, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist and clinical researcher at Saint Spiridon Emergency County Hospital in Iași, Romania, and serves as a Teaching Assistant at the "Grigore T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMF Iași). Her clinical practice and research focus on advanced cardiovascular imaging, heart failure management, and non-invasive hemodynamic assessment. She expanded her expertise in multimodal cardiovascular imaging during specialized clinical and research fellowship training in Spain, with research centered on machine learning-based echocardiographic evaluation of cardiac filling pressures and risk stratification in heart failure. She is actively involved in international cardiovascular societies, serving within the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and its specialized associations, including the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), the Heart Failure Association (HFA), and the Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC).
