Biography
Annette Schophuus Jensen works as a full-time ACHD consultant and is Head of the Outpatient Clinic at Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet, Denmark. She trained as a Cardiologist in Copenhagen, Denmark but during her specialisation she did a one-year Fellowship in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) at Royal Brompton Hospital London, UK. As part of her ACHD training she did a 15-months fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology and has a PhD in Cyanotic Congenital Heart Disease and coagulopathy.
She is currently the President of the Danish Working Group for Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) and ACHD section editor of European Heart Journal Open.
Her area of expertise is Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), especially Cyanotic CHD and associated coagulopathy.
Areas of research are Eisenmenger Syndrome/Cyanotic Congenital Heart Disease, TCPC incl pulmonary vasodilatation treatment, late complication in palliated ACHD patients, Obesity and Heart Failure.
