Alberto Francisco González-Flores, PhD, is a nurse, university professor, and researcher, trained at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Ignacio Chávez National Institute of Cardiology. He holds a Doctorate in Nursing Science from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL), and his career has focused on strengthening cardiovascular care, health education, and developing innovative interventions for the management of chronic diseases. His research centers on cardiology, with an emphasis on heart failure, self-care, therapeutic adherence, and clinical decision-making processes, incorporating psychoeducational tools, structured follow-up, multidimensional clinical assessment, and accessible technologies for cardiovascular health monitoring. In academia, she participates in the training of undergraduate and graduate students, promoting the development of clinical and scientific reasoning, critical appraisal of evidence, and the use of digital tools for care.
