I spent the last 25 yrs of my life researching and working as surgeon of congenital heart disease, in children and adults. After getting my MD and finishing my cardiac surgery residency at the University of Padua, Italy, I have continued my training in USA as clinical fellow at Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN, Boston Children Hospital, MA, and Mott Children Hospital, University of Michigan, to improve surgical skills and knowledge in repair of CHD and GUCH pts. Since my coming back at the University of Padua, I got my PhD in cardiac sciences, and I have practiced as senior surgeon, developing new minimally invasive approaches, ECMO and VAD program, pulmonary valve sparing TOF repair, Fontan failing management. I have led several multicenter clinical studies and I gained experience and knowledge trials, starting professional friendships all over the world. I am an Associate Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Padua, and I have Full Professor eligibility.
