Biography
Dr. I. Khalek is a fourth-year cardiology resident with a strong interest in interventional cardiology, congenital and structural heart disease. Originally trained in Morocco, she has pursued additional fellowships and clinical training in Europe and Latin America, including a hands-on fellowship at São Lucas Hospital – Angiocor, a renowned interventional cardiology center in Aracaju, Brazil. She has a growing academic interest in cardiovascular imaging, ischemic heart disease, and valvular pathologies, as well as pediatric and congenital cardiology, particularly the interpretation of catheterization and echocardiography in complex malformations. Dr. Khalek is fluent in Arabic, French, and English, with working knowledge of Portuguese and German. She is actively building a profile that bridges clinical excellence, global exposure, and academic curiosity, with a goal to integrate high-level interventional techniques into a human-centered, evidence-based cardiology practice.
