Abstract

AbstractAims

This study aims to determine the difference between sum ST-segment deviation (∑-STD) resolution in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients who underwent Pharmaco-invasive strategy as compared to the Primary PCI strategy.

Methods and Results

This study design was a retrospective cohort. It measured the ∑-STD resolution in two groups. Forty-five patients who underwent both Pharmaco-invasive and Primary PCI strategy were compared. The cut-off > 50% was considered significant resolution and <50% was considered insignificant resolution. The difference was analyzed using comparative analysis and logistic regression test. The ∑-STD resolution between STEMI patients who underwent Pharmaco-invasive strategy compared with Primary PCI strategy was 26.63% (84.40% in the Pharmaco-invasive vs. 57.77 %% in Primary PCI group, RR = 1.46 (95% CI, 1.10-1.93), p = 0,005).

Conclusion

The ∑-STD resolution was significantly higher in STEMI patients who underwent Pharmaco-invasive strategy as compared to Primary PCI strategy.
