know the basic concept of cTn and NP cTn pathophysiology – quantitative markers of cardiomyocyte injury, and BNP/NT-proBNP which are quantitative markers of hemodynamic cardiac stress and, therefore, HF;
appreciate the fact that many cardiac disorders develop during decades in a clinically silent period with cardiac biomarkers as sensitive tools for relevant pathophysiological cardiac changes;
