• recognise recurrent paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF), which is difficult to diagnose;
• understand that short-term, intermittent monitoring is not an effective method for AF screening even when the AF burden is expected to be low; and
• understand the need for additional therapies or interventions when the presence of any AF is detected.

To address new tools and technology for determining outcomes in patients who have undergone catheter ablation, taking account that insertable cardiac monitors (ICMs) improve detection of AF in such patients.
