On behalf of the ESC Council on Stroke and the ESC Working Group on Thrombosis, we are pleased to invite you to attend the ESC Heart & Stroke 2025 – EuroThrombosis 2025 Scientific Meeting. This year, for the first time, these two seminal ESC scientific bodies will join forces to propose a very high-level scientific event to their members and the entire international Scientific Community.
This exciting and innovative conference will take place in Milan, one of Italy and Europe’s most important scientific and cultural centres, from 15 to 16 November 2025, in the beautiful Renaissance setting of the University of Milan's headquarters.
ESC Heart & Stroke 2025 – EuroThrombosis 2025 will provide a unique opportunity to explore the latest advancements in stroke and thrombosis research across the spectrum of cardiovascular disease management. The scientific programme will cover the complexity of pathological processes related to stroke development and thrombosis risk assessment and management, focusing on primary and secondary prevention strategies and treatment approaches. Topics will include atrial fibrillation, acute and chronic coronary syndromes, carotid atherosclerotic disease, pulmonary and venous thromboembolism, post-stroke cognitive decline, intracardiac and device-related thrombosis, interventional strategies for stroke management, hypertension, and special populations such as patients with cancer, chronic kidney disease, and those with high risk of bleeding, multimorbidity and frailty, as well as more contemporary topics such as digital health and equity in health access. The related most recent ESC guidelines will also be discussed. The meeting will feature plenary and state-of-the-art lectures from leading experts, evidence-based discussions on personalised care, and interactive case-based sessions.
Attendees will have the opportunity to present their research at moderated poster sessions, engage in scientific discussions, and network with peers and an outstanding international faculty. The event offers a valuable platform to showcase research, foster collaborations, and contribute to the evolving landscape of thrombosis, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular medicine.
Milan provides a vibrant setting for this exceptional scientific event, offering not only a world-class academic programme but also an immersive cultural experience.
We truly look forward to welcoming you to Milan!
