Dear colleagues,
The ESC Working Groups on Myocardial Function and Cellular Biology of the Heart are pleased to announce that their biennial joint meeting, CBFH will once again be held in the fantastic venue of Naples, from November 26 to 28, 2025.
This biennial meeting, showcasing state-of-the-art scientific advancements in cardiovascular basic and translational science, has become a tradition, attracting the most talented and promising early-career researchers. It offers unique opportunities to engage with established scientists from across Europe.
During an intense three-day scientific program, participants will be updated on a range of exciting topics, from basic science to translational medicine, with a focus on cardiac cellular biology and heart failure. The meeting will delve deeply into the mechanisms and fundamental principles of heart failure and cardiovascular disease, driving research and innovation, particularly in emerging areas where much remains to be discovered. These areas include regenerative medicine, cardiac aging, and alterations in metabolic pathways in heart failure, among others. Additional topics will cover advanced therapies for heart disease, the basic mechanisms of cardiac rhythm disorders, the role of inflammation, microbiome, and pollution in cardiac diseases, and mechanical communication within the heart.
An expert faculty, featuring prominent European leaders in their respective fields, as well as early-career and mid-career scientists, will deliver the scientific program. A significant portion of the meeting will be devoted to short oral and poster presentations selected from submitted abstracts, fostering the exchange of ideas and experiences among basic and translational researchers.
In addition to educational opportunities, the meeting will feature complimentary social events networking opportunities that enhance networking between young clinicians/scientists and experienced researchers, clinicians, and faculty, creating unique opportunities for developing new ideas and future collaborations.
The beautiful city of Naples, with its millennia-old history and breathtaking landscape, including Mount Vesuvius in the background and the island of Capri visible from the meeting venue, provides the perfect setting for an inspiring and memorable event.
We encourage early registration, as this meeting is always oversubscribed. We sincerely hope you will join us for this exciting, cutting-edge event.
