• how women present with aortic stenosis, including clinical characteristics, valve morphology, and cardiac remodelling; and
• how imaging can help to better address the phenotype of aortic stenosis in women.

Needs assessment and expected educational outcome

To create awareness of how aortic stenosis presents very differently in women compared with men and to focus on the use of imaging for diagnosis and risk stratification in order to optimise management and treatment of these patients. The differences in aortic stenosis between men and women include clinical presentation, valve characteristic (fibrosis vs. calcification), cardiac remodelling, and response to treatment.
