Professor William Weintraub

Dr. Weintraub is the Director of Outcomes Research at the Heart & Vascular Institute at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He received my MD degree from Johns Hopkins in 1975, trained in internal medicine at Boston University and cardiology at Mount Sinai NY. Dr. Weintraub was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1980, and then Associate Professor of Medicine at Emory in 1986, and promoted to Professor in 1994, with joint appointments in the School of Public Health as Professor of Health Policy and Management and of Epidemiology. Dr. Weintraub retired from Emory in 2005, as Professor Emeritus and is currently Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University and remains an active investigator with over 630 peer reviewed publications, having been involved in translational, outcomes and quality research for over 35 years. Dr. Weintraub has worked on large scale registries and RCT, with interest in health care economics and health policy.
