Doctor Silvia Castelletti

Dr. Castelletti graduated in Medicine with honors from the University of Pavia, where she also completed her cardiology specialization and board exam with honors. She undertook a fellowship in cardiomyopathies and cardiac MRI at The Heart Hospital, University College London, and later earned an MSc in Sports Cardiology at St. George’s University of London, where she serves as Honorary Senior Lecturer. She currently works in Udine, Italy. Her clinical and research interests include sports cardiology, inherited cardiac diseases, CMR and prevention of sudden cardiac death in young individuals. She is an ESC Fellow and Chair of the EAPC SportsCardiology & Exercise Section as well as a member of the ESC Fellowship Task Force. She serves as Executive Editor of the EJPC, Deputy Editor of EHJ-QCCO and Associate Editor of BMJ OpenHeart. At national level, she contributes to several Italian Society of Cardiology WGs. In her free time, she enjoys trekking, diving, piano, exhibitions and theatre.
