Biography
Prof. Giovanni de Simone has been Professor of Medicine at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, until December 2019, when he retired. He is still active in his research fields. He has been Chair of the ESC Council on Hypertension and Past-Director and Chief Researcher of the Hypertension Research Center of Federico II University of Naples, Italy. He maintains a position of Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the Department of Medicine of Weill-Cornell Medical College in New York, USA. His main research fields are cardiovacular modification induced by hypertension and other risk factors and development of models of prediction of cardiovascular risk.
