Doctor Kayode Kuku

Kayode Kuku is a cardiovascular disease physician-researcher with expertise in cardiovascular imaging, and molecular biomarkers. He received his medical degree and completed graduate training at Lagos State University College of Medicine in Nigeria. Dr. Kuku first acquired extensive training in cardiovascular imaging while evaluating cardiovascular disease progression and interventions under the guidance of Hector Garcia-Garcia at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in D.C, USA. He then continued his research training as a cardiovascular, molecular epidemiology fellow at the Roger lab in the National institutes of Health, identifying novel heart failure and ischemic heart disease phenotypes and biomarkers using proteomics, imaging and clinical data, as well as a PhD in Cardiology focused on imaging biomarkers at the University medical Center Groningen, supervised by Joanna Wykrzykowska. He speaks English and Yoruba and is a avid football fan.
