Dr Anita Slade is an expert in patient reported outcomes (PRO) research including the development of new measures and evaluating PRO data using Rasch analysis and modern psychometric methods. She has been involved in national and international projects with private and public organisations. She has a broad range of experiences in clinical and educational research, and teaching. As part of her current role she has developed expertise in developing grant applications with a PRO element. She is interested in ensuring the patient's voice and experience of living with health conditions is central to development and refinement of patient reported outcome measures being used in clinical practice and research. She also strongly advocates that patient partners should be part of the development process from inception, design and application into practice.
