Miss Sana Yaar

University of Manchester, Manchester (United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland)

I am currently a PhD student in the final year of the British Heart Foundation funded 4-year programme, in the cardiovascular department at the University of Manchester. I am currently studying the impact of air pollutants on cardiovascular function, primarily using the mouse model. I employ a variety of scientific techniques, including electrophysiology, echocardiography, qPCR and Mass spectrophotometry to investigate my hypotheses. As well as my primary PhD project I am also working on several smaller projects, including aging in the Greenland shark and the cardiotoxicity of crude oil in fish.
