Dr Satish G. Patil is an Associate professor in Department of Physiology of SDM College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, SDM University, Karnataka. His field of research interest is “Yoga and vascular physiology”. His laboratory is currently investigating the effect of yoga based cardiac rehabilitation program on endothelial function, arterial stiffness and oxidative stress, ultimate goal is to explore and understand the mechanism of yoga on heart and vascular health. He has published about 30 research papers in a Journal of repute and 3 chapters in a book. He is a Professional member of American Heart Association. Recently, he received a highest ranked award from American Heart Association “Paul Dudhley White International Scholar Award (2020)”. He is also a recipient of ‘Shri B.M.Patil Memorial Award (2019)’ and Sri Ram Murthy Memorial Award (2017)’ from Association of Physiologists of India; INSPIRE Research Fellowship from DST, India.
