Jorge Rodriguez was born in Puerto Rico in the small town of Aguadilla. Growing up he felt lucky to have two very supportive parents and a role model in his dad. At a relatively young age, his father suffered from a massive heart attack with a favorable outcome due to the fast response and expertise of the cardiologist and the staff who provided care. This let him down the path of pursuing medicine. He did his undergraduate studies in Puerto Rico and medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico. Currently, he is doing his residency in internal medicine at Phoenix, Arizona and has plans of pursuing a cardiology fellowship.
