Biography
Dr. Peix is a Cardiologist and Nuclear Cardiologist with a PhD and a Master Degree in CMR. She works at the Institute of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery, La Habana, Cuba.
Member of the Governing Body of the Cuban Society of Cardiology, and President of its Nuclear Cardiology Section.
Previous Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department of the Institute of Cardiology (ICCCV), and Deputy Director for Research, ICCCV. At present, she is Full Professor and Senior Researcher, FACC and FASNC.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Expert in Nuclear Cardiology and clinical coordinator of several regional and multicentric IAEA research projects.
Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology, European Cardiology Review and EHJ - IMP.
Academic of the Cuban Academy of Sciences.
She has published more than 115 papers and chapters in international textbooks in the field of Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging
