Dr Ebeid is an Egyptian native who trained in General Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Miami, USA; and in Pediatric and Congenital Interventional Cardiology in the Cleveland Clinic Foundation; Dr. Ebeid is a tenured Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology) and Director of Pediatric Catheterization Laboratory at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is recognized nationally and internationally as a pioneer in the field of catheter intervention for complex congenital heart disease; receiving referrals and awards from within and outside the United States. He has been invited to multiple countries to perform and teach catheter intervention procedures. Principal investigator for many devices. The first in his region to perform many cardiac interventions as VSD closure, percutaneous valve placement, use of large stents, covered stents, etc. Pioneered catheter closure of perimembranous VSDs; he has authored multiple papers and book chapters dedicated to catheter interven
