Mrs Enid Van Nieuwenhuyse

Ghent University, Ghent (Belgium)

Enid Van Nieuwenhuyse is a doctoral researcher at Ghent University. During her PhD, she developed and optimized a tool called Directed Graph Mapping, under supervision of Professor Nele Vandersickel and Professor Alexander V. Panfilov. Enid uses computer simulations to better understand mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias and uses DGM to analyze these findings.

Directed graph mapping is able to distinguish between the true and false rotors in a complex in-silico excitation pattern.
