Dr. Sinha started his career in clinical research in 1983 as a research fellow at PGI Chandigarh before completing MD Medicine in 1985. He joined IGIMS, Patna as a registrar in cardiology. His research demonstrated ECG findings to the predict severity of left-to-right shunt in Secundum atrial septal defect, for which he was awarded the Young Cardiologist award from the Cardiological Society (CSI) of India, Bihar. In 2011, Dr. Sinha demonstrated a reverse loop technique for entering the mitral valve orifice in severe calcific mitral stenosis at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) conference. In the subsequent year, he presented clinical data on cardiac arrhythmia and atrial fibrillation at CSI and ESC. He also contributed data to the ACC Pinnacle India outpatient registry. At the ESC conference, he reviewed abstracts and chaired sessions. He presented, published, and wrote chapters in the textbook of cardiology and remained as associate editor IHJ.
