Steven A. Goldstein received his M.D. from Vanderbilt University. He spent one year in London, England, at National Heart Hospital and at St. Georges Medical School. He was the Dir. of Noninvasive Cardiology at Washington Hospital Center from 1980 to 2016. Dr. Goldstein is a past Governor of the American College of Cardiology (DC Chapter), past Board Member of the American Society of Echocardiography, and past Vice President of the American Heart Association (DC Chapter). He is a past Vice President of the National Board of Echocardiography and past Chairman of the Item Writing Committee. He was recipient of the Excellence of Teaching award of the Department of Cardiology of Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center (2007, 2009, and 2018), and he is a recent recipient of the prestigious Gold-Headed Cane Award at the Washington Hospital Center for devotion to duty and patient care. Lastly, a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the American Society of Echocardiography.
