Biography
Ricardo Ladeiras-Lopes (MD, PhD, FESC) is a Cardiologist dedicated to Cardiovascular Imaging (especially cardiac CT and CMR) and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. He has been involved in basic, translational and clinical research activity since 2006 and his main areas of interest are cardiovascular imaging (CMR and CT), diastole, metabolic syndrome and inflammation. He was member of the Board of the Portuguese Society of Cardiology Young Cardiologists Group from 2013 to 2017. From 2017 to 2022 he was Member of the Cardiologists of Tomorrow Nucleus of the ESC, now the ESC Board Committee for Young Cardiovascular Professionals. Dr Ladeiras-Lopes has a special interest in the utilization of Social Media as a tool for communication of medical and scientific content.
