Ralph Stephan von Bardeleben is full Professor and Head of the Center of Structural Heart and Valvular Interventions and the Heart Valve Center after education at the University of Mainz and the University of California in San Francisco. He is both an imager and interventional cardiologist. He is the head of the CV img dep since 2004, former national speaker of the WG on CV ultrasound and nucleus member in valvular heart disease and the Heart Valve Societyy. His department includes CV imaging and interventions as well as grown-up congenital heart disease.
The Heart Valve Center in Mainz is one of the leading centers for percutaneous valve therapy in Europe and one of the leading centers in Mitral and Tricuspid valve interventions.His department participated in early in man implantations (MitraClip, Cardioband, PASCAL, NeoChord) and is Corelab or EU PI for multiple international trials.
