Biography
Ralph Stephan von Bardeleben, MD FESC received his medical training at the Johannes Gutenberg Univ. Mainz and UCSF San Francisco with EU and USMLE exams. He trained at UCSF in pediatric cardiology, at JOGU Mainz in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He was appointed Director of CV Imaging in 2004 and introduced Structural Echocardiography. He was recruited for Congenital (1999), Coronary (2004) and Valvular Interventions (2008). He was Director of Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Coronary Interventions and became Director of the Dep. of Structural Interventions 2015. He was nominated full W2 Pofessor of Medicine for Heart Valve Interventions 2022 and Professor of Medicine PTG at the Univ. of Montreal Canada in 2025. He is leading high volume centers for Structural and Valve interventions in Europe and North America. He participated as national or EU PI and SC/Corelab in major international trials (Expand G4, TRISCEND, Apollo, CLASP IID/IIF, RESHAPE II HF, MATTERHORN, TR) with 290+ publ.
