Bianca Rocca, MD, PhD, FESC is Professor of Pharmacology, working at the Libera Universita’ Mediterranea-LUM (Casamassima, Bari, Italy). She trained as Postdoctoral Fellow at the University Pennsylvania of Philadelphia (USA), and as Haematologist (specialty board at the Catholic University School of Medicine of Rome).
She has served as Chairperson elected of the ESC Working Group on Thrombosis, she is Chair elected of in the WG-CVP (mandate 2026-2028). She has participated to several ESC Guidelines (2018 Guidelines on Cardiovascular disease in Pregnancy, 2019 and 2023 Guidelines on Diabetes. She has co-authored over 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals with over 19,000 citations, H-index 57. Main scientific interests: antithrombotic drugs, eicosanoids, haemostasis, platelets, precision cardiovascular pharmacology.
