Dr Toon Wei Lim is a senior consultant cardiologist at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore and specialises in cardiac electrophysiology. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1997 with 1st Class Honours and was awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney for his research on atrial fibrillation ablation. In 2009 he joined the University of Ottawa Heart Institute as a Clinical Fellow in Cardiac Electrophysiology before returning to his hometown in 2010 to join the Arrhythmia Service of the National University Heart Centre, Singapore. Dr Lim’s main research interest is in device and drug therapy for cardiac arrhythmias. He has also been working on integrated chronic care for patients with atrial fibrillation with a focus on patient education and self-management. For the past 8 years, he has also served on the executive council of the Singapore Cardiac society and is currently the President.
