Thomas Pezawas obtained his MD degree at the Medical University of Vienna. He completed his Doctorate in clinical investigation of electrophysiologic risk stratification in patients with unexplained syncope in 2000 and fellowships in General Internal Medicine and Cardiology in 2007 and 2010, respectively. Pezawas received training at the Autonomic Dysfunction Center, Vanderbilt University, TN, USA (2011-12) and at European centers within the EHRA program (2012-14). Thomas Pezawas qualified for “Ius docendi” and Associate Professorship at the Medical University of Vienna. He is holding Level 2 EHRA Certifications in Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) & Cardiac Device Therapy (CP). Pezawas served as an ESC Guidelines Task Force Member for the Diagnosis & Management of Syncope, ruled the Austrian non-invasive arrhythmia society and received several scientific awards. He is PhD Program Supervisor for Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Disease and Certified Specialist in Health Care Management
