Dr. Silvain is a interventionnal Cardiologist at the Institut de Cardiologie of the Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital in Paris, France where he is the Director of the Intensive Coronary Care Unit specialized in Acute Coronary Syndrome and Severe Heart Failure. He is a Full Professor of Cardiology at the Sorbonne University Medecine. He obtained his MD from the Sorbonne University Medecine in Paris, France, with a medical training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and a post- doctoral training on the basics molecular and genetic thrombosis at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine ( UPENN ) in Philadelphia, USA. He also earned a PhD in biology on the thematic of the genetic, molecular and pharmacology of Coronary Thrombosis. He is a member of the ACTION Coeur study group (Allies in Cardiovascular Trials Initiatives and Organized Networks www.action-coeur.org) and specialized in clinical trials. Dr Silvain is the lead PI of the ALPHEUS and the ABYSS trial.
