Pr. Silvain is the Director of the interventionnal and Structural Cardiology at the Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital in Paris, France after Directing the Intensive Coronary Care Unit for 8 years. He is a Full Professor of Cardiology and obtained his MD from the Sorbonne University with a medical training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and a post- doctoral training on the basics molecular and genetic thrombosis at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine ( UPENN ) in Philadelphia, USA and a PhD in biology on genetic, molecular and pharmacology of Coronary Thrombosis. He is a member of the ACTION Research group www.action-groupe.org specialized in clinical trials and have led significant high-level scientific production resulting in 173 publications, including in high impact journals. (5 iNEJM, 6 Lancet , 4 JAMA, 2 Nature, 2 BMJ , 10 Circulation, 9 EHJ, 17 JACC). He is the lead PI of the ABYSS trial NCT03498066 (n=3700 randomized patients)
