Prof. Konstantinos Stellos is an academic cardiologist (physician scientist) who has worked as Professor of Medicine at the Goethe University Frankfurt (2013-2017, Germany), Newcastle University (2017-today, UK) and Heidelberg University (2021-today, Germany). He is appointed as the Chair of the Department of Cardiovascular Research at the European Center for Angioscience of the Heidelberg University, Germany. He also runs a preventive cardiology/cardiometabolic clinic at the University Hospital Mannheim of the Heidelberg University. His research focuses on the crosstalk among RNA and vascular biology, immunology, and cardiovascular disease (www.StellosLab.com). His research work is published in discovery journals including Nature Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine and Immunity. He is a recipient of a European Research Council grant and has been awarded with the ESC Outstanding Achievement Award 2020 and the EHJ and CVR Top Reviewer Award 2022 and 2023, respectively.
