Biography
Mauro Trincado Ave earned his Medical degree from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2013–2019) with the Extraordinary Award. He completed his Cardiology residency at CHUS (2020–2025). He holds a PhD in Clinical Research (2026), a Statistics diploma, and multiple Master's degrees. He currently balances his clinical practice in cardiovascular critical care at CHUS with a highly competitive Río Hortega research fellowship (2026–2028) funded by the ISCIII. His research focuses on precision medicine for atrial fibrillation and arrhythmias. He has published in top-tier journals like Heart and Revista Española de Cardiología. Dr. Trincado Ave is the Principal Investigator for three projects, including an active clinical trial, collaborates on multicenter studies (FARISK, PERIVERSION), and completed a training rotation at Freeman Hospital’s Advanced Heart Failure Unit (Newcastle, 2024).
