Joanna Sulkowska is a radiology resident and PhD candidate at Akershus University Hospital and the University of Oslo. By focusing on motion analysis from cardiac magnetic resonance and aiming at developing machine learning tools for medical image analysis, she is putting both her part time studies in Mathematics and Informatics from the University of Oslo and her cand.med. from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology to good use. She is affiliated with K.G. Jebsen Centre for Cardiac Biomarkers and with RITMO Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Rhythm, Time and Motion. Her main supervisor is senior cardiothoracic radiologist and postdoctoral fellow Siri Lagethon Heck and her co-supervisors are professor and cardiologist Torbjørn Omland, professor of music technology Alexander Refsum Jensenius and postdoctoral fellow in informatics Ulysse Teller Masao Côté-Allard.
