Professor Roberto Corti

Born 1966 in Bellinzona, Switzerland, Roberto Corti studied medicine at the University of Zürich and obtained his MD in 1991 at the same institution. From 1991 to 2000 he was a fellow in internal medicine in Bellinzona and cardiology at the University Hospital Zürich and then worked in the US at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York in cardiovascular research and cardiology for almost three years. He was promoted assistant Professor in 2001. Upon his return to Switzerland in 2001 he worked as interventional cardiologist in the Andreas Grüntzig Catheterization Laboratories at the University Hospital Zurich. He was appointed Head of interventional Cardiology at the University Hospital Zürich in 2007 and was named Professor of Medicine and Cardiology in 2011. Since July 2013 is Director of the Heart Clinic Hirslanden Zurich, one of the leading Heart-Team based clinic for structural heart treatment in Switzerland.
