Dr Mahmood is a CardioOncologist specializing in treating heart disease in cancer patients. He completed internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and his cardiovascular disease fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine where he served as chief fellow. He also completed a two-year subspecialty fellowship in CardioOncology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University medical school. Dr Mahmood's research is focused on understanding the cardiotoxicity of immunotherapy for cancer, including immune checkpoint inhibitors and chimeric antigen receptor T-cells. He has received research grant funding from the Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation, and the New York Academy of Medicine.
