Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology and held the position of Head of Interventional Cardiology Departments for more than 10 years.
Main research interests dealt with prognostic value of heart rate variability in hypertensive heart disease and in patients with acute myocardial infarction; and also the usefulness of QT interval dispersion to predict induction of monomorphic ventricular tachycardia by programmed ventricular stimulation. He investigated the comparative value of different GP 2b/3a inhibitors after coronary stenting.
