PhD Degree awarded in 2003 (“Non-invasive assessment of arrhythmogenic risk factors after myocardial infarction”). Current appointment is Professor of Cardiology in “Elias” University Hospital, “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania. Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology and held the position of Head of Interventional Cardiology Departments for more than 10 years. Main research interests dealt with prognostic value of heart rate variability in hypertensive heart disease and in patients with acute myocardial infarction; and also the usefulness of QT interval dispersion to predict induction of monomorphic ventricular tachycardia by programmed ventricular stimulation. He investigated the comparative value of different GP 2b/3a inhibitors after coronary stenting.
