Associate Professor Asparuh Nikolov

Dr. Nikolov graduated from Medical University Pleven, Bulgaria in 2009. His tasks are management of people with cardiovascular diseases and dyslipidemia research. More than 60% of his patients are with dyslipidemia. Atherosclerosis is one of the major characteristics of the population with essential hypertension and a key risk factor underlying pathogenesis of ischamic heart disease. From 2009 to 2016 Dr. Nikolov was an assistant professor in Clinic of Internal Medicine, University Hospital, Pleven, Bulgaria. Currently, he is an associated professor of Cardiology and Member of Cardiovascular Disease Study Group in Institute for Scientific Research in Medical University Pleven. His research focuses on investigation of the immunological aspects of normal and pathological connective tissue turnover in patients with atherosclerosis, hypertension and heart failure. Dr. Nikolov compies both scientific and clinical work in the fields of Cardiology, Atherosclerosis and Cardiovascular research
