Biography
Prof Hasan Al-Farhan, FESC, FACC, FRCPE, FHFA, FECVI, FSCAI, is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist, Medical Educationalist, President of Iraqi Scientific Council of Cardiology, the President of ICOS-Iraq Chapter, Affiliated Member of the Study Group on PPCM, Supervisor of the National Program of Heart Disease in Pregnancy, the Head of Baghdad Cardio-Maternal Unit, and the National Coordinator of the EORP in Iraq, including PPCM with it’s sub-study of PPCM Biomarker, ROPAC II and III, Acute Coronary Syndrome – STEMI, NSTEMI and HF3 registries. Al-Farhan is a member of the steering committee of ACS-STEMI Registry. Also he is a reviewer in the international journal of Annals of Internal Medicine. Al-Farhan has a wide experience in researches, audits, and clinical trials [a member in the writing committee of EASY Trial, National Leader of INTERACT trial], and his in interest focus on; HF, heart disease in pregnancy, and ACS. He was the President of Iraq Cardiothoracic Society 2013-2015.
