Gianni CASELLA MD is the Director of the Department Cardiology, Ospedale Maggiore, Bologna, Italy since November 5, 2019. He was formerly appointed as Director of Interventional Cardiology, Dept. Cardiology, Ospedale Maggiore since October 1, 2016. Dr. Casella graduated in 1985 and completed his fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Bologna in 1990. He had further training in intensive care at the Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL in 1989 and in interventional cardiology at St.Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN in 1991. He completed his training in interventional cardiology at Klinikum innenstadt, Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich D in 1998 and 2001. He had further training in structural interventions at Careggi Hospital, University of Florence in 2008 and 2009. He is the author of several international papers and coordinated several registries and studies on ACS or intensive cardiac care in Italy.
