Professor James Moon

James is Professor of Cardiology at UCL London and Barts Heart Centre. The winner of the 2022 SCMR gold medal, his research (600 papers, H index 125) focuses on understanding rare and common heart conditions by creating new tests, linking them to treatment and delivering them globally. He developed many CMR techniques such as ECV and first described LGE in multiple conditions such as amyloid. As an entrepreneur, he is CEO of Mycardium AI Ltd (www.mycardium.com) which develops superhuman AI workflow solutions for CMR and echocardiography in clinical care and as a CRO for drug development. He is a cofounder and director of GSL (www.guilfordstreetlabs.com) which makes next generation AI based -omics molecular diagnostics for heart and neurological disease.
