Professor Dame Anna Dominiczak DBE, MD, FRCP, FAHA, FRSE, FMedSci Regius Professor of Medicine at the University of Glasgow; Chief Scientist (Health), Honorary Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde; and Health Innovation Champion for the Medical Research Council; and Editor-in-Chief of Hypertension. Recognised as a world-leading cardiovascular scientist and clinical academic, Professor Dominiczak's major research interests are in hypertension, cardiovascular genomics, and precision medicine, where she not only publishes extensively in top peer-reviewed journals but also excels in large-scale research funding for programmes and infrastructure. In 2016, she was awarded a DBE for services to cardiovascular and medical science. Professor Dominiczak is a member of several editorial boards and, since 2012, has been Editor-in-Chief of Hypertension, Journal of the American Heart Association -the world’s top journal in her area of research.
