Biography
My Special interest is Preventive Cardiology and Sports Cardiology. Therefore, I have been involved in the EAPC/ESC for many years. In Munich I am heading the department of Prevention, Rehabilitation and Sports Cardiology, one of the largest of this kind in Germany and Europe. In our outpatient clinic we see more than 10,000 patients per year from obese, sedentary individuals with or without cardiovascular risk factors, to athletes for cardiovascular screening and patients with cardiac disease seeking advice for exercise training. My research interest is in exercise training in heart disease.
