Dr Manal Alasnag is a Consultant Pediatric Intensivist at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom. She is an honorary lecturer at London South Bank University. She worked at King Fahd Armed Forces Hospital (KFAFH) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 2008 - 2020. She established the Pediatric Critical Care service at (KFAFH). She created the team and initiated life-saving therapies for critically ill children such as advanced respiratory support, renal replacement therapy and mechanical circulatory support. She led the merger of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care (PCICU) Unit and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). She was instrumental in establishing links with academic institutions. She is a fellow and a senior overseas examiner for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK).She contributed as section co-author to chapters in textbooks such as Wheeler’s Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Elzouki’s Textbook of Clinical Pediatrics.
