Professor Adel Hassan Allam

Professor of Cardiology Al Azhar University, Dr. Allam is specialized in cardiac imaging. He is the chief of nuclear cardiology at Alfa Medical Center, Cairo. He is also a member of American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, a member of International Council of Nuclear Cardiology, and he is the President of the Egyptian League of Cardiac Imaging. He is one of the team of investigators of the INSPIRE trial, one of the biggest multicenter international trials in the field of Nuclear Cardiology. He was also part of the team of investigators that worked with the International Atomic Agency in Vienna to assess the need for nuclear cardiology and other advanced cardiac imaging modalities in the developing world. His recent research involved imaging of ancient Egyptian mummies. He and Gregory S Thomas, MD, are the Co-principal investigators of the Horus Study Group, an international team investigating cardiovascular disease in ancient humans using CT scanning.
