Assistant Professor Soheil Saeedi

PD. Dr. Soheil Saeedi, PharmD, PhD, FESC, is a Pharmacologist/Senior Scientist specializing in cardiovascular aging and currently serves as the Assistant Professor, Group Leader and Head of Cardiovascular Aging Lab at University Hospital Zurich. He has previously held senior scientist and postdoctoral positions at Harvard Medical School and University of Zurich. His lab explores the interplay between the gut microbiota and cardiovascular aging, aiming to leverage microbiome-based strategies for personalized medicine. He has authored over 70 publications in top-tier journals, namely, Nature Aging, Nature Reviews Cardiology, Journal of Clinical Investigation (JCI), The Lancet Healthy Longevity, PNAS, European Heart Journal, Aging Cell, ATVB, and iScience. He also secured multiple research grants from Swiss National Science Foundation, American Heart Association, European and Swiss Atherosclerosis Societies, and received several prestigious awards and honors.
