Doctor William David Strain

Dr Strain is Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Exeter Medical School. He is the clinical lead of the Diabetes and Vascular Research Centre in Exeter, the world-leading centre on microvascular research, with a focus on the mechanisms of action of drugs in the capillaries of the heart, brain, skin and eye. Clinically, he works with older adults with diabetes and stroke, running community clinics in diabetes and working as part of the in-hospital acute stroke team.
